Rakesh Parbhoo

Rakesh Parbhoo

Chief Executive Officer – Westcon-Comstor Sub Saharan Africa

Rakesh Parbhoo is the CEO of Westcon-Comstor Sub Saharan Africa and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the business, as well as driving the company’s global strategy to establish the business as a leader in value added distribution across Sub Saharan Africa.

Prior to joining Westcon-Comstor, Parbhoo held the role of Chief Information Officer for Dimension Data Middle East & Africa, where he was responsible for developing Dimension Data MEA’s information systems strategy to support its business objectives and goals. Originally joining Dimension Data in 1998 as a product manager, Parbhoo subsequently held several positions in sales and services management, including a tenure as Managing Director for Dimension Data East Africa and Executive for Emerging Markets responsible for all countries outside of South Africa across the African continent and Middle East.

With over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, and extensive knowledge of business operations throughout the continent, he works with the local executive management team to drive Westcon-Comstor’s specialised brand of value-added distribution into the region. Parbhoo has a passion for information technology and uses his strong leadership abilities and financial acumen to assist in tackling complex business challenges, while at the same time embracing and driving business innovation and digital transformation.

Parbhoo graduated with a B.Com degree majoring in insurance, risk management and information systems from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 1997. He subsequently completed a Management Development Programme through Manchester Business School and was selected for the Global Leadership Development Programme through the Gordon Institute of Business Science.

Elmien Du Toit

Elmien Du Toit

Chief Operating Officer - WestconGroup Southern Africa

Elmien Du Toit is the Chief Financial Officer for Weston-Comstor Southern Africa where she is responsible for all financial matters, compliance, and operations across Sub Saharan Africa.

A chartered accountant by trade, Elmien completed her articles at Ernst & Young. She completed her accounting studies and advanced tax certificate at University of Pretoria and Unisa.

Prior to joining Westcon-Comstor she was a management member of Comztek as well as the financial director of Oracle in South Africa.

Elmien was a core member of the management team that lead the acquisition of the Comztek business by the Datatec Group, assisting with merging its operations with Westcon-Comstor business across Sub Saharan Africa.

Robyn Newel

Robyn Newel

Director Human Resources – Westcon-Comstor Sub Saharan Africa

Robyn Newel is the Human Resources Director for Westcon-Comstor Sub Saharan Africa and is responsible for the smooth and profitable management of the company’s human resources department.

Prior to joining Westcon-Comstor she served tenures at Sanlam, Eternity Private Healthcare and CAMAF, to name a few. Robyn’s extensive knowledge of, and experience in, human resource management, ensures she can support line managers within Westcon-Comstor with the delivery of all HR services, as well as provide assistance with the length and breadth of recruitment and selection processes. She also provides invaluable guidance around performance management. Another passion of hers is talent management, succession planning and staff retention, best practice areas she is striving to develop in the company.

Robyn’s key strengths extend her in-depth knowledge of human resources practices; an assertive, innovative and pro-active approach to problem solving; as well as excellent interviewing and presentation skills. Robyn believes that to excel in HR one needs to possess exceptional interpersonal skills and be a team player that is willing to listen and guide people along their own career journey.

In addition to her extensive work experience she completed a Senior Management Programme from the University of Stellenbosch; has her BCOM Honours (HR) from the University of Johannesburg; BCOM (Industrial Psychology & Business Management) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Diploma in Nursing from the Natal Nursing College.

Uwe Brandkamp

Uwe Brandkamp

Regional Sales Director – Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa

Uwe Brandkamp is the sales director for Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa, a position that allows him to translate his passion for the IT industry, into a quality service ethic.

Uwe joined Comztek in 1999 as sales manager, a position followed by his appointment as networks business unit director and then later sales director. He was a key member of the management team that led the sale of the company to the Datatec Group, which is now entirely merged into the Westcon-Comstor operations.

He currently works with the Westcon-Comstor sales forces to ensure that they not only meet their revenue targets but maintain healthy relationships with both vendors and partners.

He holds a BCom degree with a major in Information Technology and Business Economics and started his career as a hardware engineer for NCR in the early 1980’s. Positions he held prior include sales director for Compusolve, business development and sales director of Computer Alliance, as well as sales and divisional director at PQCC / QData Networks.

He is an avid fly fisherman, diver and golfer – when he gets the time.

Louise Taute

Louise Taute

Comstor Director – Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa

Louise Taute is the Director of the Comstor business within Westcon-Comstor in Southern Africa. She is tasked with the overall management of the Comstor business in Southern Africa.

Taute started her career in the ICT industry more than 24 years ago and has held executive management positions in marketing and sales as well as strategic accounts management. She has held positions at PQ Africa, Duxbury and Neotel. Her attention to detail, strategic customer focus and ability to develop partner led business development plans are key to her success.

To this end she leverages her extensive knowledge on the local partner landscape as well as her key business and channel understanding of both the Cisco and myriad vendor businesses, which make up the Comstor business, to the benefit of the Westcon-Comstor partner network.

Taute has been central in developing Comstor as the prominent value-added distributor of choice for Cisco’s networking, collaboration, IoT, and data centre solutions in the region.

Heinz Stephan

Heinz Stephan

Services Solutions Director – Westcon-Comstor Sub Saharan Africa

Heinz Stephan is the Services Solutions Director at Westcon-Comstor Sub Saharan Africa.

Heinz holds a bachelor’s degree majoring in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Port Elizabeth and started his career as a systems analyst and developer for Infoplan contracted to Armscor.

He was formerly part of Comztek, prior to its merger with WestconGroup where his role also encompassed technical director, and as a result he was involved in strategy development across the organisation, working with the executive team to assist in the development and execution of its business plans.

Outside of his roles at Armscor and Comztek, Heinz has held positions at the Financial Services Board as a systems analyst and developer; QData as an analyst, consultant and technical manager; and Centera as networking product manager. He then joined Comzlink in 1996, which was to become Comztek and is now today Westcon-Comstor.

Saartjie Wait

Saartjie Wait

Marketing & Digital Experience Director – Westcon-Comstor Sub Saharan Africa

Saartjie Wait is the Marketing & Digital Experience Director for Sub Saharan Africa. In her role she is responsible for developing and growing the internal and external Westcon-Comstor brand, delivering on key strategies to mobilise vendor and partner engagements and sales, as well as establishing the business as a leader in digital distribution and logistics.

Saartjie has played an important role in assisting Westcon-Comstor with developing a go-to-market strategy that focusses on growing the top line of strategic vendors and partners.

She has been in the ICT industry for the past 23 years starting at Siemens Telecommunications in 1996. She held various roles over this time, from strategic account manager, channel manager at Avaya and a senior management position at Grintek Telecom. She was part of the International FIFA IT management team responsible for operations at all stadium venues including FIFA HQ during the World Cup in 2010. Following this she started her own events management company but her passion for marketing is why she returned to the corporate arena. Saartjie has vast experience developing vendor strategies and go-to-market initiatives including digital transformation which is key to stay relevant in a competitive landscape.
