Executive Management Team


  Rakesh Parbhoo
Chief Executive Officer - WestconGroup Southern Africa

Rakesh Parbhoo is the CEO of WestconGroup Southern Africa and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the business, as well as driving the company’s global strategy to establish the business as a leader in value-added digital distribution on the African continent.

Prior to joining the WestconGroup, Parbhoo held the role of Chief Information Officer for Dimension Data Middle East & Africa, where he was responsible for developing Dimension Data MEA’s information systems strategy to support its business objectives and goals. Originally joining Dimension Data in 1998 as a product manager, Parbhoo subsequently held a number of positions in sales and services management, including a tenure as Managing Director for Dimension Data East Africa and Executive for Emerging Markets responsible for all countries outside of South Africa across the African continent and Middle East.

With over 20 years experience in the IT industry, and extensive knowledge of business operations throughout the continent, he works with the local executive management team to drive Westcon-Comstor’s specialised brand of value-added distribution into the region. Parbhoo has a passion for information technology, and uses his strong leadership abilities and financial acumen to assist in tackling complex business challenges, while at the same time embracing and driving business innovation and digital transformation.

Parbhoo graduated with a B.Com degree majoring in insurance, risk management and information systems from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 1997. He subsequently completed a Management Development Programme through Manchester Business School, and was selected for the Global Leadership Development Programme through the Gordon Institute of Business Science.

Andries Coetzee | CFO WestconGroup Southern Africa   Andries Coetzee
CFO - WestconGroup Southern Africa 

Andries Coetzee is the Chief Financial Officer of WestconGroup Southern Africa and is currently responsible for the financial operations of the company.

A chartered accountant by trade, Andries began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1981, becoming a partner in 1988. He studied at the University of Stellenbosch and UNISA and before joining Comztek in the position of financial director in 2002, he held a director position at Oracle Corporation for six years.

Andries was a core member of the Comztek team that lead the acquisition of the Comztek business by the Datatec Group, assisting with merging its operations with its WestconGroup South Africa and Africa business.

Outside of work Andries is a keen golfer, enjoys the outdoors and is a wine aficionado.
Elmien Du Toit | Chief Operating Officer, WestconGroup Southern Africa   Elmien Du Toit
Chief Operating Officer - WestconGroup Southern Africa 

Elmien Du Toit is the Chief Operating Officer of WestconGroup Southern Africa where she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business.

With her team she strives to ensure that the Group has the right people throughout the company’s operations to best service the company’s different business practices. That the warehouse teams have the right systems and processes in place in order to meet client’s demands, right through to working with the executive team to help foster the right culture and environment to promote a healthy and viable working ecosystem for all of the people at WestconGroup Southern Africa.

Prior to joining WestconGroup she was a management member of Comztek, and served a tenure as the financial director at Netshield South Africa, now a majority owned subsidiary of the WestconGroup, as well as eight years as the financial director of Oracle in South Africa.

She was extensively involved in the company’s transformation process during its merger with Comztek, ensuring that all operations continued in a business as usual fashion throughout the process. She believes that her team’s goal is to “make sure the cogs of the wheels driving the company are oiled, and running smoothly at all times”.
Uwe Brandkamp | Regional Sales Director, WestconGroup Southern Africa    Uwe Brandkamp
Regional Sales Director - WestconGroup Southern Africa 

Uwe Brandkamp is the sales director of the WestconGroup Southern Africa, a position that allows him to translate his passion for the IT industry, into a quality service ethic.

Uwe joined Comztek in 1999 as its sales manager, a position followed by his appointment as networks business unit director and then later sales director. He was a key member of the management team that led the sale of the company to the Datatec Group, which is now entirely merged into the WestconGroup Southern Africa and Africa operations.

He currently works with the WestconGroup and Comstor sales forces to ensure that they not only meet their revenue targets, but that they maintain healthy relationships with both vendors and partners.

He holds a BCom degree with a major in Information Technology and Business Economics and started his career as a hardware engineer for NCR in the early 1980’s. Positions he held prior include sales director for Compusolve, business development and sales director of Computer Alliance, as well as sales and divisional director at PQCC / QData Networks.

He is an avid fly fisherman, diver and golfer – when he gets the time.
Andrew Potgieter | Director Security Solutions, WestconGroup Southern Africa   Andrew Potgieter
Director Security Solutions - WestconGroup Southern Africa 

Andrew Potgieter is the Business Practice Director of the Security Solutions portfolio, including its data and physical security solutions, at WestconGroup Southern Africa. He is responsible for developing and nurturing resellers in the channel, managing relationships with global vendors, sales and business development, the establishment of value-added services to its partners, as well as the oversight of the teams within the division.

He has been with the company since 2012. After more than 17 years in the industry, he has a keen technical, sales and business understanding of the ICT industry with a particular strength in the channel. Prior to joining WestconGroup, Andrew served tenure at First Distribution where he held roles in sales, marketing, account management and business management.

With a unique blend of skills that extends both business acumen and technical know-how, Andrew is able to assist partners and vendors in better communicating with their customers and in turn providing them with security solutions that meet their specific business needs.

When he joined WestconGroup he was tasked with amalgamating the messaging and business of the then Biodata data security business into the greater WestconGroup Security practice. In addition, he then did the same with the former Sentronics business after its acquisition by WestconGroup, which is today the WestconGroup Physical Security Business Practice.
Leane Hannigan | Director Cloud Solutions, WestconGroup Southern Africa   Leane Hannigan
Cloud Solutions Leader – EMEA

Leane Hannigan is the Cloud Solutions Director at WestconGroup Southern Africa. A software industry stalwart, Hannigan boasts extensive experience of both consumer and enterprise software environments, backed by extensive managerial and distribution knowledge and experience. Skills she currently uses to build and grow the local Cloud Solutions business practice.

Prior to joining Westcon Hannigan served a 10-year tenure at Microsoft where she held myriad leadership and executive roles, not least of which was its distribution lead. She was notably selected as a participant in the Gibbs Women in Leadership Programme while at the software giant. Leane was awarded, two years in a row, Microsoft’s The Circle of Excellence award, a global award only given to a handful of individuals. In addition, she was also awarded the World Wide CPE (Customer and Partner Experience) Excellence award, this is bestowed on only one CPE director annually, for positively influencing culture and effective change management.

Today her passion is to lead a “cloud strategy through distribution”, and is achieving this by building a business practice that is able to assist partners with the distribution, and aggregation and syndication of cloud services, leading with a hybrid cloud eco-system. To this end, she is establishing the division as a one-stop-shop for cloud for Westcon’s reseller partners and vendors, who are looking for a distributor who understands and wants to lead with a cloud vision.

Her career prior to Westcon has seen her work in the UK and Ireland as well as across the EMEA region.
Louise Taute | Director Comstor a WestconGroup Company    Louise Taute
Comstor Director - WestconGroup Southern Africa

Louise Taute is the Director of the Comstor business within WestconGroup in Southern Africa. She is tasked with the overall management of the business unit including managing and developing the company’s partner, go-to market, sales, services and marketing strategies. .

Taute started her career in the ICT industry more than 22 years ago and has held executive management positions in marketing and sales as well as strategic accounts management. She has held positions at PQ Africa, Duxbury and Neotel. Her attention to detail, strategic customer focus and ability to develop partner led business development plans are key to her success.

To this end she leverages her extensive knowledge on the local partner landscape as well as her key business and channel understanding of both the Cisco and myriad vendor businesses, which make up the Comstor business, to the benefit of the Comstor and WestconGroup partner network.

Taute has been central in developing Comstor as the prominent value-added distributor of choice for Cisco’s networking, collaboration, IoT, and data centre solutions in the region.
Heinz Stephan | Director Consumer Solutions, WestconGroup Southern Africa    Heinz Stephan
Services Solutions Director - WestconGroup Southern Africa

Heinz Stephan is the Services Solutions Director at WestconGroup Southern Africa.

Heinz holds a bachelor’s degree majoring in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Port Elizabeth and started his career as a systems analyst and developer for Infoplan contracted to Armscor.

He was formerly part of Comztek, prior to its merger with WestconGroup where his role also encompassed technical director, and as a result he was involved in strategy development across the organisation, working with the executive team to assist in the development and execution of its business plans and go-to-market strategies.

Outside of his roles at Armscor and Comztek, Heinz has held positions at the Financial Services Board as a systems analyst and developer; QData as an analyst, consultant and technical manager; and Centera as networking product manager. He then joined Comzlink in 1996, which was to become Comztek and is now today WestconGroup.
Tiens Lange | Director Unified Communications & Collaboration Solutions at WestconGroup Southern Africa   Rentia Booysen
Manager Unified Communications & Collaboration Solutions – Westcon SSA

Rentia Booysen is the business unit Manager of the unified Communications & Collaboration Solutions division of Westcon-Comstor Sub-Saharan Africa. In her role she is responsible for the sales and channel management of the division as well as staff development, customer and vendor relationship building and future planning.

Booysen joined the previous Comztek company in 2012 in the capacity of Channel Manager for Microsoft and Norton, and then, following the company’s acquisition by Datatec, was appointed as Channel Manager for the Unified Communications and Collaborations business practice for Avaya, and then added Polycom to the portfolio. Working her way up to Business Unit Manager in 2018 for the unified Communications & Collaboration Solutions

Prior to joining Comztek,now Westcon-Comstor, Booysen worked at Drive Control Corporation, as External Account Manager. Booysen has been in the ICT distribution industry for a total of 18 years, which includes several years at Pinnacle Micro as Account Manager. Today her specialties include product, project and business management as well as solution selling.
Bridget Nkuna | Marketing Director at WestconGroup Southern Africa   Bridget Nkuna
Marketing Director - WestconGroup Southern Africa

Bridget Nkuna is the Marketing Director of WestconGroup Southern Africa where she is responsible for working with the sales and executive teams to generate leads, creating market opportunities and driving the company’s global and local messaging throughout the SADC countries within the region.

With more that 20 years of extensive marketing experience, working within both corporate and agency environments, Bridget has a key understanding of balancing creativity with application. She uses her knowledge of global branding, along with her understanding of local market dynamics to successfully drive marketing execution amongst the members of her field marketing team at WestconGroup.

Prior to joining WestconGroup she worked as an independent marketing contractor within her own business Owami Media, held a senior executive marketing and communications role at Sun International, as well as serving tenures at BP SA, United International Pictures, and Total SA. When heading up the Brand Agency team at Publicis, her team developed the now payoff line for South Africa 'Inspiring New Ways‘ and the subsequent brand communication strategy. At Castrol, as CSI and Internal Communications Manager for its 2010 World Cup programme she developed a youth HIV awareness and prevention programme using soccer skill engagements to speak to communities, touching the lives of over 4000 youths.

Bridget has her BA in Law & Psychology through Wits University and a Diploma in Marketing Management, has been enrolled to study for an MBA on a part-time basis at the Gordon Institute for Business Science.
Robyn Newel | Director Human Resources, WestconGroup Southern Africa    Robyn Newel
Director Human Resources - WestconGroup Southern Africa & Africa

Robyn Newel is the Human Resources Director for WestconGroup Southern Africa and is responsible for the smooth and profitable management of the company’s human resources department.

Prior to joining WestconGroup she served tenures at Sanlam, Eternity Private Healthcare and CAMAF, to name a few. Robyn’s extensive knowledge of, and experience in, human resource management, ensures she is able to support line managers within WestconGroup with the delivery of all HR services, as well as provide assistance with the length and breadth of recruitment and selection processes. She also provides invaluable guidance around performance management. Another passion of hers is talent management, succession planning and staff retention, best practice areas she is striving to develop in the company.

Robyn’s key strengths extend her in-depth knowledge of human resources practices; an assertive, innovative and pro-active approach to problem solving; as well as excellent interviewing and presentation skills. Robyn believes that in order to excel in HR one needs to possess exceptional interpersonal skills and be a team player that is willing to listen and guide people along their own career journey.

In addition to her extensive work experience she completed a Senior Management Programme from the University of Stellenbosch; has her BCOM Honours (HR) from the University of Johannesburg; BCOM (Industrial Psychology & Business Management) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Diploma in Nursing from the Natal Nursing College.
Kevin Norton | Director Mobility Solutions, WestconGroup Southern Africa   Kevin Norton
Director Mobility Solutions - WestconGroup Southern Africa

Kevin Norton is the Mobility Solutions Director for WestconGroup Southern Africa where he is responsible for heading up the mobility practice for the company within the region.

Prior to his position as Mobility Director he was the coastal manager for the group where he was tasked with the branch management of the coastal region. He also served a tenure in sales management for the previous Westcon Works division.

An engineer by trade, Kevin left the engineering industry in the 90s to follow his passion in IT. He then worked his way up from engineering management positions into product management and later business development. Notably, before joining Westcon in 2006 he was with Dimension Data and Bytes Technology Group – Systems Integration.

Today Kevin marries his technical, engineering, sales, product and business management skills in order to help WestconGroup customers build more efficient mobility solutions from the supply chain through to the business user.

In his spare time he enjoys golf, running and paddling.
